Moving Checklists

We aim to make your move a success

We've helped countless tenants to move into and out of rental properties. We've created the checklists on this page to answer some of the most common questions we hear about the process. Please read through the details below and if you still have questions after reviewing everything, call us for assistance: (720) 499-7103

Move-in Checklist

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

Your first month's rent and security deposit are both due at the lease signing. Please confirm the amounts in advance with our team.

Move-in Date & Inspection

We will schedule your move-in date and provide all initial inspection information at the lease signing.

Utilities

You'll need to place utilities for your rental home in your name immediately following the lease signing. Be sure to take care of this to avoid losing access to the utilities in your rental.

Move-out Checklist

Notice of Intent to Vacate

Planning to move out of your rental home? We request written notice of your intent to vacate the premises, in accordance with the terms of your lease.

Property Condition

Before handing in the keys for your rental home, please verify that you've brought the property back to rent-read condition. This involves the following:

Rental Cleaning: Start by decluttering each room, disposing of unnecessary items. Dust surfaces, wipe down countertops, and clean appliances. Scrub bathroom fixtures, tiles, and floors, paying attention to mold-prone areas.

Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors to remove any lingering dirt. Don't forget to clean inside cabinets and closets. Ensure all appliances are left in good condition, and replace any burnt-out light bulbs.

Landscaping & Outdoor Areas: If you typically address outdoor landscaping tasks like mowing the lawn or weeding flowerbeds, please take care of this one last time before moving out.

Repairs: Please verify that no damage has occurred during your stay, and take the necessary measures to address any repairs. This may include patching nail and screw holes, replacing broken glass, and painting over any scuff marks or stains on walls and baseboards.

Security Deposit

We will perform a final inspection after you move out. If we identify any damages, we will schedule repairs and use your deposit to cover the related expenses. The remainder of your deposit will be returned to you.

Pleas remember, you cannot use your deposit to cover your final rent payment. Failure to pay your rent on time may result in legal action and adverse credit reporting.
