Daniel J Shannon
President / Managing Broker
Dan Shannon is currently Managing Broker of JM Property Management and long time real estate professional in the State of Colorado. He has been licensed since 2001 and has been active in property management since, but is also well versed in many other aspects of the industry. Dan started in property management as a teenager performing maintenance and turning vacancies eventually learning and expanding into working with government programs, leasing and much more. Dan has worked in the various markets along the Colorado Front Range, but is also knowledgeable in the diverse mountain communities of Grand County and serving the high demand long term rental market in a resort community.
Christopher J Martinez
Vice President/Senior Business Development Manager
Chris Martinez is a hands-on and thorough Property Manager. He got his start in property management as a teenager painting apartments and mowing lawns for his Grandparents' rental properties. This later grew into rent collection, leasing, and full home remodels. While working in other career paths including mortgage finance and building material sales always participated in property management in some capacity. During the recession of the 2000s, the family rental portfolio grew and he began to grow the management company to outside investors. Through trial and error, systems were developed to help property owners maximize their real estate investments. After streamlining client onboarding, leasing, and property maintenance he has moved on to a business development role while overseeing portfolio property managers to implement the mission and values of J & M Property Management.
Outside of work Chris's passions are family, friends, and fitness.
Stephanie Shannon
Bookkeeper
Stephanie Shannon is as focused and detail oriented bookkeeper as they come. She constantly strives for accuracy and perfection when it comes to the fine details of keeping records for tenants and owners as accurate as possible. Stephanie moved to Colorado as a teenager from North Dakota and has loved Colorado and all it has to offer since, eventually raising a family of 3 boys here. She has worked for the past decade side by side with Chris dialing in our accounting processes and is a subject matter expert when it comes to our accounting and reporting systems.
Jerome Shaw
Assistant Property Manager
Jerome Shaw has worked in most facets of property management, from landscaping and maintenance to leasing and accounts payable. Jerome is on his third career. After 30-years as a commercial Photographer he “retired” to become a social media wonk and a travel blogger before moving into property management. Having operated his own business for 40-years he understands the necessity of accountability to the client. As a transplanted Nebraska farm boy, that has lived most of his life in Colorado, he brings a midwestern work ethic to everything he does for clients and tenants at J&M Property Management.
Brian Griffin
Portfolio Property Manager
Brian serves as a Portfolio Property Manager at J&M Realty. He started his professional journey as an investment accountant with Bank of New York Mellon where attention to detail and escalation were key. From there, Brian moved into agricultural commodities acquisition/trading, and finally, into real estate. The skillset he gained in other industries helps him excel in the day-to-day operations at J&M Realty. He is great at networking and enjoys the everchanging daily schedule that property management provides. Brian is the newest member to the team and is passionate about not only preserving client’s investments but maximizing them.
